As a culture we tend to value the intellect, we recognize it and celebrate it.
I used to be all about the proof, all about the science, all about the facts... and gave very little importance to being creative or cultivating & trusting my inner knowing.
I must have driven my lecturer crazy, always asking why, why, why - trying to wrap my analytical mind around, and interpret, the wisdom & philosophy that is Ayurveda & Yoga.
Now as I have become older, and dare I say wiser, I also value intuition, that internal knowing, your personal truth, when you just ‘know’ in your being that something just ‘feels’ right and you don’t need any proof or reason, it simply is your truth.
I believe we have access to so much knowledge and wisdom, it is difficult to comprehend, but when you experience this truth there is no denying the accuracy and relevance.
I find for me, the best way to cultivate this knowing is through stillness and connection with nature.
